Autumn is my favorite time of year because of thanksgiving. Not so much the holiday of Thanksgiving but the focus on giving thanks, appreciating the good things we have in life. I know there are struggles of all sorts, financial, health, family issues, etc. These can loom large, but seeking to find blessings in the midst will put the struggles in their proper perspective.

James 1:17 in the Bible says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” This verse tells me two things, I can look to God who gives good gifts in life, and I know He’s the one to thank.

Having trusted the Lord Jesus Christ for 48 years, I’ve learned that God’s word has answers for all the difficulties in life. His grace is sufficient, his mercies are new every morning. and his wisdom profound. He will help with all the financial, health and family issues if I trust Him and follow His advice. Many answers take time to work out, but when they do, it’s so gratifying. We don’t want the struggles to keep us from realizing blessings along the way. I’m cheering for you!
