Back from Estonia!

Yes, pleased to say we arrived safely home to DC, including our luggage! What a wonderful, inspiring trip we had. My almost 16 year old granddaughter and I left for Tallinn, Estonia on August 8th. We arrived in this small but historic and thriving city ready to help with a Couriers for Christ campaign. Thirty five of us from the US, plus three missionary families who live in Estonia and the leadership of Couriers for Christ out of Wyldewood Baptist Church in Oshkosh, Wisconsin worked to pass out almost 40,000 booklets containing the Gospel of John and the Book of Romans from the Bible. Along with that was an invitation to “Amazing Grace” an event on August 18th that included a gospel message by Missionary Pastor in Tallinn, Mike Smith. Also, the personal testimony of a young Estonian gentleman who had become a Christian, and music sung by a choir comprised of us Americans. It was held in the conference area auditorium of the lovely Radisson Blu Hotel Olumpia we were staying it. Almost 170 people came and at the end each one was handed a beautiful Bible in their own language. Many Estonians are atheist or nothing. Some would boldly declare, “I believe in myself!” They don’t realize that what you believe while you are here on earth determines your eternal destination. Will it be Heaven or Hell? Anyone who received one of the almost 40,000 booklets can open and read God’s provision for their salvation. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 The day we left, Estonia was celebrating 25 years of freedom from Russian rule. How I pray that before long, many will be set free from their burden and penalty of sin. “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36.

Happily handing out the truth.
